Volkswagen is all set to showcase its first fully electric ID.7 EV sedan at CES 2023

As the new year has started, many companies have revealed their surprises to launch their EVs at the start of the year 2023. Some of them have already been revealed on World EV day. Volkswagen has also joined the club and revealed its plan to showcase the ID.7 EV through a media press release.

The company reveals the camouflaged digital images of the ID.7 EV on its official website and shared its plan of showcasing it during CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas.

The CES event will be held between the 5th to 8th of January 2023. It is the world’s most influential event in tech that showcase breakthrough technologies.

The company has planned to start series production of ID.7 during the second quarter of 2023 and planning to launch the EV in all three primary markets of the world, that is China, Europe, and North America.

ID.7 is the next model of ID. family, which is a sedan and following on from ID.4 model as the next EV by the company. The company had extended its electric model in the upper segment by offering the new ID.7 EV.

Volkswagen claimed the ID.7 sedan with a range of approximately 700 km in the WLTP (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure) cycle

When did the Volkswagen EV journey begin?

Volkswagen has a very long history of the electric journey. The company started developing its first EV during the 1970s, but as the adoption of EVs sparked during the last decade, hence the company started mass production with time.

The first all-electric car by Volkswagen had a running range of 43.5 (70 km) miles with a maximum speed of 43.5 miles per hour in the 1970s.
