As per the latest information, Volvo is showcasing its latest revealed EX90 EV SUV at the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2023 event in Las Vegas. EX90 is a flagship SUV, which was revealed in November 2022 by the company.

Similar to all other Automobile companies, Volvo is also planning to move their focus and expand in the EV segment in the future and EX90 is expected to play an important part in the company’s EV journey.
As North America is a major market for the automobile industry. Volvo showcased EX90 EV and demonstrated its key automobile safety features and high-end technology.
Volvo also revealed their plan to start EX90 EV deliveries in the first quarter of 2024. The company is yet to start the booking of the EX90, but as per Volvo’s official website, you can reserve your EX90 with a deposit of $500 (USD).
EX90 is a fully electric 7-seater SUV.
The flagship EX90 EV is expected to go for a run of 300 miles (483 km) on a single battery charge and it takes approximately 30 minutes to get the electric battery charge from 10% to 80% with fast charging.
The car delivers power up to 496 horsepower, which will go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 4.7 seconds.
The Swedish automaker revealed its first fully electric car in October 2019 and launched it in March 2021. The car was none other than XC40 SUV. The company has plans to focus on fully electric cars and expects to release one EV every year.
Volvo seems to be a bit delayed in moving its direction from fossil fuel-powered vehicles to electric-powered cars. As per the research, automakers have very few EVs in their portfolio, compared to other popular automakers.
As Volvo is popular for its heavy vehicles and safety features, it can be expected of them to not launch EVs in each segment at the very early of their EV journey.
Their first fully electric car is XC40 Recharge and next, they are planning to start the mass production of the EX90.
Volvo Car Group is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and moving its entire automobile portfolio to electrically powered vehicles. The company is expecting to go all-electric by the year 2025, which is similar to other popular automakers in the world. Volvo is very optimistic about electrifying their vehicles and expects that their EV sales will be holding 50% shares of their total sales in 2025.
